Tracking email to a queue - assigns unrelated From

Question
-
We have recently set up a queue to handle all incoming emails from a certain emailadress. It works fine - all emails that is sent to the exchange mailbox in question is forwarded to this queue. But a strange thing happens: an email, forwarded from another internal exchange mailbox (from a user not in CRM) is assigned a totally unrelated contact in the FROM field.
Any ideas?
I have been forced to stop using the queue while we investigate.
The CRM server is configured to both smart matching AND tokens.

Hi Jen,I would recommend open a support case with Microsoft to investigate this issue.

Hi Darren
I have had my vendor do so.

Have had the same problem and thought it was either a bug or someone in the office secretly filling 'em in. I think the answer is actually simpler.
CRM likes to associate a record to an email based upon a guestimate that it is a related from a previous email. For example if you sent an email titled "Referral for You" if that record was related to Joe Bloggs then if another email is created also with the title "Referral for You," CRM will think you are referring to your previous email and so fill in (incorrectly) the related field.
I could be wrong, but that's my guess. You can switch off that "guestimate" under options -> Email, I thinkWednesday, December 9, 2009 9:52 PM -
Hi Jimbo64
I have thought of that issue and if that's the case, then I should be able to find another email with the same subject - and I'm not.
