No help on Fix-it to shutdown/Hybernate problems RRS feed

  • Question

  • When shuting down Win 7, system repeatedly crashes or freezes before complete the shutdown process.

Also, Hibernate doesn't work (restart after actually hibernate).

Those problems are not new for me. In the past, I had this kind of problems using different hardware.

Fix-it doesn't even have an option to troubleshoot this.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.  This is a great idea.  This is something Microsoft should look into and adding new diagnostic solution package for (e.g. Common System Startup and Shutdown Issues).

One thing to notice is that, with Fix It Center, new diagnostic solutions can be added anytime.  For example, if a new solution is created, Microsoft can update the catalog and the new solution will automatically show up on your Fix It Center.

In other word, your Fix It Center is NOT static.  It's dynamic.  What you see now is just a first step, and it will continue to grow.  It will try to help you and other to solve more and more common problems as Microsoft learn more from customer support experience and receive more customer feedback.

    Thanks and Regards
