If you upgrade from one version of Windows Vista to another version using the Windows Vista Anytime Upgrade disc, then you'll have to purchase a license (product key) for the upgrade version. The product key affixed to your PC is only valid with the original version of Windows Vista that came preinstalled on your computer.

Hello ian3316488,
First off, please DO NOT post your Product Key on a public forum were anyone can see it. I have deleted the product key from the post, but this post has already been viewed over 50 times. That means that over 50 people have seen your Product Key.
Your Laptop came with Vista pre-installed. The Product Key (on the sticker on the bottom of your Laptop) will only work with the Version of Vista that came Pre-Installed. If you Updrade to a higher Version of Vista, the Product Key (on the sticker on the bottom of your Laptop) will not work with that higher version. You would need to buy a product key for that higher version of Vista.
(Example: If your laptop came with Vista Home Basic and you used the Anytime Upgrade to upgrade to Vista Ultimate, the Vista Home Basic Product Key (on the sticker on the bottom of your Laptop) would not work in Vista Ultimate)
Thank you,
