Windows search 4.0 always said "0 items indexed" RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have installed Windows Desktop Search 4.0, for Windows XP.  (WindowsSearch-KB940157-XP-x86-enu.exe). As the default setting, it will create index for some folders on my PC. But when the index complete (It has said "Indexing completed"), there is no any item has been indexed - the windows search options displayed "0 items indexed". Thus, there is nothing can be find by window search.

Has anybody encountered this problem? I am sure the folder3 request to index are not empty.

    Thanks in advance.
