Issues with One Care RRS feed

  • Question

  • First thanks for the free trial.  Second, I already went into Options, and abled the Active X control.

One Care keeps telling me that cannot install upgrades, and directs to site to install upgrades.

So you go to Microsoft.com site and there tells you must install Active X to install upgrades.

So what is going on,besides going in circles with the Active X thing.

Then regarding back-up, LOne Care constantly tells me there are new files, new documents?  And that they must be

backed up?  No, I have not created new documents or files?

Where is that wrong information coming from? Thanks I am not a computer nerd, but

can follow reasonable commonsense instructions. Thanks.

  • I believe One Care is directing you to Windows Update. Try to check for updates from within Windows - Start>All Programs>Windows Update. Install any missing critical and important updates.

The message you are seeing to back up your files could be generated if you have not yet performed a backup. You can either perform a backup or turn One Care backup off. To turn backup off open One Care>Change Settings>Backup>Configure Backup>Change Settings> select "Turn backup off on this PC".
