Question about IFaceExaggeration.Exaggerate RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello, thank you for providing powerful face recognition engine!

    I have a question about 3rd argument of IFaceExaggeration.Exaggerate().

    API document just says it is a float value.

    Sample code specifies 0.0f there.

    What is the range of acceptable value for this parameter?

    I want to make a comical face picture.  What value is the typical one?

    Thanks in advance.  --Sachio

  • Hi,

    The 3rd parameter specifies the exaggeration level. We don't define suggested values since it usually varies for different cartoon sketch and for different people.

    Following are some guidelines of applying exaggeration --

    • If you don't want exaggeration, just skip this function (don't call it);
    • 3rd parameter is ignored when you set ExaggerationType as Auto or AutoAddConstr. The latter adds constrains to shape deformation to avoid weird cases.
    • For the rest types, the 3rd parameter specifies the ratio, typically ranging from 0 ~ 2. You can try different values to see the effects.
