Cannot Sign In

Question

Hi,
When I go to the Microsoft Learning site and click on the Sign In button I get an error 404 page instead of going to the Live sign in. I can sign in fine on other Live sites.- Moved by Alicia CalesMicrosoft employee, Moderator Sunday, February 1, 2009 9:15 AM (Movido de Learning Manager Knowledge Base para Learning Manager Bugs and Feedback)

A collegue showed me a way to get in.
-Install Safari Browser (or try another you already have, other than IE)
-Using the alternate browser select the itacademy.micorosoftelearning.com link
-Sign in with live account
-close the alternate browser
-Open IE and browse to the itacademy.micorosoftelearning.com link
-Select sign in.

I also have been experiencing this problem for over couple of months. Thanks for the advice but this solution works some time after one try or it might take hundreds.
I believe it is related to the e-learning server side which is perhaps being unable to respond to client requests and generate this irritating "404" message.
This should be reported to the e-learning help desk to be dealt with asap. The more of us report it the sooner they will believe it and get working on real solution.

I had the same problem, so read through the browser requirements for the e-learning site; I needed to adjust the browser settings to accept and store cookies, and enable javascript.
Afterwards I was able to sign in with no problem. It may have been purely coincidence, but I thought it was worth mentioning if you haven't checked your settings already.

These are the steps and the URL used or generated at each:
Step 1
The initial site
http://itacademy.microsoftelearning.com/default.aspx
Step 2
The login page
http://itacademy.microsoftelearning.com/unauthorized.aspx
Step 3
The error page generated
http://www.microsoft.com/404.htm
Some times This sequence happens once or twice, and some times non stop (from different Networrks and different browser and PCs)
So far the only sensible proposed solution is from dekka5, who thinks it may be browser settings related .Sunday, February 1, 2009 11:35 PM -
