Why can I not download this to my computer? What program can I run to solve this?

Hello Cessna,
Let’s split your thread off so we may focus more attention on your particular situation. Splitting threads are done to mitigate confusion caused by more than one posting about similar topics allowing us to focus on each customer individually.
In order to receive the best support, we request all users to initially run the Genuine Diagnostics tool. In turn the tool will try and identify the individual issue you may be experiencing. Also, please provide a brief synopsis describing the issue including any error messages or codes. These can be found in the lower left hand corner of most Genuine Advantage Web pages when an error is encountered.
Download and run the Genuine Diagnostics tool at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 , then click the “Windows” tab, click “Copy”, then paste the report into a response message in this thread.
Thank you,
Stephen Holm, MS

Hello,
Let’s split your thread off so we may focus more attention on your particular situation. Splitting threads are done to mitigate confusion caused by more than one posting about similar topics allowing us to focus on each customer individually. Please post your question here http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowForum.aspx?ForumID=442&SiteID=25 in a new thread of your own.
In order to receive the best support, we request all users to initially run the Genuine Diagnostics tool. The tool will try and identify the individual issue you may be experiencing. Also, please provide a brief synopsis describing the issue including any error messages or codes. These can be found in the lower left hand corner of most Genuine Advantage Web pages when an error is encountered.
Please download and run the MS Genuine Diagnostic Tool utility at this link http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=52012 , then click the Windows tab, Copy to Clipboard, then paste the report into a New Post on this Forum.
Step 2 is telling us about the COA. Tell us:
1. What edition of Windows XP is it for, Home, Pro, or Media Center?
2. Does it read "OEM Software" or "OEM Product" in black lettering?
3. Or, does it have the computer manufacturer's name in black lettering?
4. DO NOT post the Product Key.
5. Please also provide a short description of the issue you are experiencing.
NOTE: The data collected with the Genuine Diagnostics Tool does NOT contain any information that can personally identify you and can be fully reviewed, by you, before being posted.
Thank you,
Stephen Holm,MS

NONE of the .NET's would install before, and now they still wont install, and this XP looks more like Windows 98!!
SP3 installed no problem, but.... NOTHING ELSE WORKS
ALL I WANT TO DO IS HAVE THIS WORK! I'VE BEEN HELPING OUT MY ROOMMATE LEFT AND RIGHT WITH HIS COMPUTER, UPGRADED THE RAM, CPU, MOBO, HDD, etc etc, but now this has officially KILLED his computer because WINDOWS XP is being an Imbecile!!!!
so very dissappointed in Microsoft for allowing this to happen at all, seems as though the online activation servers have been shut down for XP.

I LOOK EVERYWHERE FOR A SOLUTION AND EVERYWHERE SAYS "GO BACK HERE" ITS A GD CIRCLE OF FAIL!!!!!!!
*trying to calm down*
this is my roommates computer that was tattooed years ago by HP and to get around it i used some old OEM system builder discs and the windows cd key that is printed on the side of the case, well, after that sure windows xp ran, but that was it, i had to customize the internet information service MANUALLY, have to activate the internet every boot up, Windows Activation says "30 days left to activate" then leaves me optionless when i click it, it goes POOF LIKE WTF ANNOYING... *relax, windows always screws up* i should be used to it.
here is what the Diagnostic says:

PLEASE don't SHOUT! - or you're unlikely to get a civil response.Your problem is1) You have an Acer Machine2) You have a copy of Windows Media Center installed3) You have some form of software installed which is hiding the details of the installation from the validation services.4) You would appear to have installed SP3 over an infested system (never a good idea)Without details as to the actual problems that your have been having with the system prior to installing SP3, there is little we ca do, except advise a recovery to ex-factory state, after backing up all data to external storage. - without the details of your system that should be present in the report, we have very little to work on - and you appear not to have anything in the way of a history to give us.IF AND WHEN you manage to get more data, please post it in a NEW thread of your own, together with a full MGADiag report.
