Blocked Validation

Question
-
Win7 Ultimate was installed on my computer by an individual who built it, but who did not provide me with the product CD or key. I had a failing hard drive, so reinstalled the operating system after creating a System Repair Disc (before replacing the old hard drive). It installed without problem. I went to the MS website and confirmed that it was a valid product.
However, whenever I try to activate, I am told the product key is blocked. I contacted the individual who did the install and he "assures" me that he did not use the product key on any other computer.
Below is the MS Genuine Diagnostic Tool report.
Any suggestions?

An individual cannot legitimately install this copy of Windows 7.
Windows Product ID Type: 2
Windows License Type: OEM SLPIt is a factory-only installed copy. Only large manufacturers like HP or Sony are licensed to use the SLP technology.
The only way it could have been put on your computer is by copying it from another computer or downloading it from a pirate site on the web.
It can never activate because this type of license requires an SLIC table in the BIOS on the motherboard.
OEM Activation 2.0 Data-->
BIOS valid for OA 2.0: yes, but no SLIC tablebut a custom built computer using a retail motherboard
<Manufacturer>Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.</Manufacturer><Model>GA-MA785GMT-UD2H</Model>
simply cannot have an SLIC table of any kind much less one that uses SLP technology for self activation.
You need to purchase a full license retail copy of Windows. Read the other threads in this forum for guidance of what to purchase and what to avoid.
