CRM 2011 Outlook add-in - Won't allow email tracking RRS feed

  • I have a client who has installed the Outlook Add-In to go along with her CRM On-line. She was able to use Outlook to track emails for several weeks with no problem. Suddenly, she can't track emails anymore. The error she's getting is "Don't have enough permission to access the CRM object...."

    We have uninstalled and reinstalled the Outlook add-in, to no effect. Any suggestions?

     

    CRM Outlook Version: 4.4.9230.19

    Win 7 6.1.7601 Service Pack 1 Build 7601

  • Hi,

    I've seen this kind of scenarios happening when the user outlook profile is configured on more than 1 computer, if that is your case you have to set the current machine as the synchronizing client.

  • The box to set the machine as the synchronizing client is grayed out - we can't check it.

    Do you know what would cause this?

    This function was working on the computer for a while, and quit working unexpectedly.

  • Talina, Couple of options to try, - Run the Outlook client Diagnostics tool and auto fix if there are errors and try again. - Remove the outlook client from the computer which is not going to be the sync... client. - Re-install outlook client from the current machine and try again.
