Dear Sirs,
I have two PC in which the latest version of Windows Live Messenger is installed.
BTW in one PC there is Windows 7 and in the other Windows XP (both of them with the latest updates and protected with antivirus, one Kaspersky the other Avira).
The problem is this: I've noticed that when a session of Live Messenger is opened (that is, when Messenger runs), it may happen that unwanted e-mails are sent to my contact list!!! :-(
The e-mails contain links to site like these: hxxp://qibacuq.angelfire.com/ , hxxp://dinocuv.t35.com/ .
Please, how can I solve this problem?
My two machines are virus-free.
Many thanks in advance.
Sergio
Hello Sergio,
Unfortunately you're submitting this question to the wrong forums. This is the forum for Windows Live Writer only (a blogging software). You'll have more expert answers if you submit it to the Windows Live Forums for Messenger (found through

That being said, the first thing I would recommend is that you change your password on hotmail/messenger. See if that stops the unwanted messages. Also, know that if someone who has your email address in their address book has a virus, it can
possibly send the emails out looking like they came from you.
If you receive links from friends, check with them before clicking the links (especially if the friend comes online, sends the link, and goes offline, or you don't normally talk with the person). Also don't try the "Who blocked me" or other
"Messenger block check" ____, as they are only set up to get your username and password to send spam out.
Hope this helps, and have a great day:)
Patrick.
