I found that all my publications were listed in another researcher's list. This research and I have the same name. Also, I cannot find my research profile here.
Can I create and edit my publication list? Thanks.

could you tell us the link to the author profile page? we can look into it. currently, regular user can't create new authors, but our editors can do that for you, if you could tell us your homepage.

Hey, I noticed the same problem with my name (Erwin de Groot) as well:
http://academic.research.microsoft.com/Author/3533580.aspx
Any papers coauthored with Brian Wyvill are mine (there is a list on my website www.erwindegroot.nl as well), the other ones actually belong to the current profile.

Hi Groot, we will create a new entry for you and please check it online after about two weeks. Then we will move papers to your new entry asap. You can edit or add papers by yourself, too.

Hi, I also have this problem -- I'm Eric Nichols (or Eric P. Nichols) at Indiana University. Some of my papers are listed, incorrectly, under Eric Nichols at the Nara Institute of Science & Technology.
See http://www.cs.indiana.edu/~epnichol/pages/papers.html for a paper list.
Thanks!

I have identified a similar issue with another author (not myself). The name is Jun Wang (I appreciate that there are many of these in the world!). You do not appear to have an entry for Jun Wang of University College London (http://web4.cs.ucl.ac.uk/staff/jun.wang/blog/). Some of his papers are attributed to other people of the same name, for example this one:
...by the modern port- folio theory, an economic theory dealing with investment in financial...is linked to a Jun Wang of Syracuse University.
Thanks,
Stephen

Hi
Please disambiguate my name. It is listed here http://academic.research.microsoft.com/Author/249694?query=mark%20c.%20wilson and lumped with at least one other person. My published name is always (apart from one paper in 1996 that can be dealt with later) Mark C. Wilson. Never M.C.T Wilson or other variants. My institutions have been: University of Wisconsin-Madison, University of Montana, Northern Illinois University, University of Auckland. I am not sure of the definition of publication you are using, but a reasonably good list of mine can be found at http://www.cs.auckland.ac.nz/~mcw/Research/Outputs/papers.html.
Could you explain somewhere (e.g. in an FAQ) whether you intend to use one of the many unique author ID services, and in general what you are doing for disambiguation.
Saturday, January 15, 2011 7:32 PM -
Hi Mark,
Thanks for your feedback! Name disambiguation is really a hard problem for us and we are still working on it. After our latest release in last December, now you can confirm your publications by using "edit publication list" function, which can be found in "edit author" page. As for your case, we'll fix this manually asap. Please check back later, and due to our process, it may take a up to several weeks for the changes to appear online. We appreciate your patience and continuous support!

Hi Zyhmina,
I'm the first author for the papers shown in my Profile below:
http://scholar.google.com/citations?user=xpPC-g0AAAAJ&hl=en
Since I don't have a profile in Microsoft Academia, they are labeled to other authors with the same name.
Could you please create an account for me? Thanks.

I have a similar problem: my name is Costanza Zucca and Dr Cristina Zucca's profile lists some of my publications. I tried to edit her profile name, but I realize that this is not a good idea - I should have my own profile. All publications in Dr Cristina Zucca's profile related to Plasma Physics are in fact mine. Thanks for your help.Friday, November 2, 2012 8:24 AM
