mirroring a folder RRS feed

  • Question

  • Is there a way that I could get a folder on WHS to "match" or "mirror" a folder on my laptop?  I take my laptop home each night and add stuff to the folder.  When I get back into the office, if the server could automatically update to match the folder on my laptop, that would rock.  Any suggestions?

  • Windows Home Server doesn't have the ability to do that built in, but there's plenty of software available (some of it free) to do what you want. Perhaps you could take a look at Microsoft's free SyncToy, which has a lot of capabilities in addition to just mirroring a folder's contents.
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)

  • Sorry,  to clarify - my WHS is in my office, not at home.
