MS CRM installation on Multiple server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All ,

As subjected we are trying to install the MS CRM on multiple server but i will be sharing same 1 DB server for these both instance.

for Example:- server 01 will be having CRM and pointing to XYZ_DB, server 02 will be having CRM and pointing to same DB as server 01.

Is it possible to point 2 crm instance to 1 DB, if yes then how.

our Gola:- we want to do NLB of 2 CRM server,so if any CURD operation request will be sent then it should do entry in one Single DB.

    Regards

  • It sounds like you are intending to have one CRM deployment, with both CRM Servers providing access to the same organisation database(s). If so, then this is fine. When you install the first CRM Server, select the 'Create new deployment' option, and when you install the second CRM Server, select the 'Connect to existing deployment' option.

Once CRM is installed, and NLB is configured, then open CRM Deployment Manager, and Properties, then set the load balanced address to be used for CRM. You only need to set this on one server, as the data is stored in the shared MSCRM_Config database

  • Hi David,

Thanks for your reply , you mean we need to select the second option while installing second crm instance, and give the same sql server name.

just like its been showed in this link (https://blogs.msdn.microsoft.com/niran_belliappa/2014/02/17/network-load-balancing-microsoft-dynamics-crm-2013/) step number 3.
