Installing a name instance of sql server RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi Guys

Please be patient because I am completely new to MS CRM and trying to install trial version 4.0

!. Installed a named (MSCRM) instance of SQL Server 2005 (W2K3)
2.Installed MS CRM but it failed because the web site for reports was name ReportS$MSCRM_MSCRM,ReportServer$MSCRM_MSCRM  and $ is a reserved character.

I tried to rename and remove the $ without any joy. I reinstalled SQL to check if SQL installtion gives option of naming the reports/reportserver but it doesn't.

Would someone guide on how reports services web sites can be named without the $

    Thanks in advance

  • Try using just the http:\\ReportServerName\reports or http:\\ReportServerName\reportserver since you're referencing a website and not the SQLServer instance itself at that point.
