  • Hello MWH1710,

    Here is a snippet of your mgadiag report:

    OGA Data-->
    Office Status: 103 Blocked VLK
    Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007 - 103 Blocked VLK

    OGA Version: Registered, 2.0.48.0
    Signed By: Microsoft
    Office Diagnostics: 025D1FF3-230-1

    The status of "Blocked VLK" means that the Volume Licensing product Key that was used to install this installation of Office Enterprise 2007 onto your computer was at one time a valid Volume Licensing product key, but due to the key being lost, stolen, compromised to the internet, or the applicable Volume Licensing Agreement expiring, the key has been blocked by Microsoft.

    Larger organizations that have certain Volume Licensing Agreements with Microsoft can participate in what is called the Home Use Program (HUP), where for a nominal fee, employees and other authorized personnel associated with that larger organization can order a copy of Office in the edition used by the organization directly from Microsoft's digital distribution partner, Digital River.  In some rare cases, the organizations acquired the program discs themselves and distributed them to qualified employees.  However, such Home Use Program licenses are valid only while the person is an employee of the organization, and the license is for installation and use on one computer only.

    I can tell you that your installation of Office Enterprise 2007 does NOT fall under the HUP because HUP licenses install and report as retail licenses.  Retail licenses would report with an "800" or "900" series number in the PID and would report a PID Type value of "1".

    Here is what is in your report:  ><Name>Microsoft Office Enterprise 2007</Name><Ver>12</Ver><Val>ACD7202654E586</Val><Hash>fFic3JgCreGGRxyF8uMWB4R4Jcg=</Hash><Pid>89388-707-1528066-65673</Pid><PidType>14</PidType></Product></  These values are typical of a volume license.

    Is it possible that your computer had the Genuine HUP license for Office Enterprise 2007 installed at one time, and for some reason it was replaced by this nongenuine installation?

    As I said in your original thread - the copy of Office installed on this PC is in all likelihood, a counterfeit.
    Office Enterprise is only sold in bulk to organisations for use on their own machines. If you bought this somewhere for your own use, it's a counterfeit.
    If you are a member of an organisation with usage rights for Office Enterprise, then contact your System Admin for advice and assistance.#

  • It is NOT a counterfiet, unless you are saying the Clark County School District , the 5th largest in the nation, is selling counterfit CD's. So, yes I am a member of the organization, but there is no system admin left - budget cuts etc... they sold them to any District employee for $15.00. It has been working fine for over 3 years, now it says it is not genuine - this is a Microsoft issue, not a CCSD issue.

    Is this product labeled with Home Use Program or Work at Home in any manner?  If so there should have been documentation supplied with that disk to tell you that all support for the product is supposed to come from the business's IT department (in your case Clark County School District) or from the special telephone number that you should have received (and no one without the Home Use Program could probably give you because it is a private support number).  You can try to contact MS activation by attempting activation again and when it fails you should receive a telephone number to call.  Don't put in any information, just wait for a person to come on the line.  Explain what has happened and hope.

    There is a possibility that CCSD has not renewed, due to budget cuts, a non-perpetual volume license which would automatically drop out (volume license key blocked) any HUP or WAH suites given or sold to employees upon their next activation check.  There are other reasons a volume key would be blocked but no one on here has access to that information as we are not Microsoft, just volunteers with a few exceptions.

    Also the HUP only allows two installs with specific restrictions.  You should be able to read the EULA on the computer by clicking Office Orb in a program, then click  program-name Options then About then the blue "View Microsoft Software License Terms.
