• Question

  • Well i decided to move my WHS from an old tyan motherboard to an Asus A8N-VM CSM. WHS refuses to see the onboard gigabit NIC regardless of what drivers I use. everything else works fine, WinXP sees it. Even that other OS, (you know the free one thats starts L and is distributed under the name that starts with UB :-) ) see the nic and installs the driver without intervention. I know there isnt a HCL but this is a fairly new motherboard and im pretty surprised that WHS cant even see the NIC (it as if it doesnt exist, not listed anywhere in device manager). If anyone has any idea's suggestions let me know so i can start testing the CTP  build of WHS.

  • Fixed my own problem, the NIC is listed as Unknown PCI device.  I simply installed the winxp drivers for it and it worked.
