Connect to CRM 2011 with Visual Studio RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hello,

We decided to make Internet Facing Deployment of CRM 2011 by using Forefront TMG. My server is available at domain crm.example.com.

I'm developing plugins for that server in Visual Studio 2012, so I don't know much about TMG.
So when I try to connect to server crm.example.com using HTTPS protocol with Visual Studio I get following error:

Metadata contains a reference that cannot be resolved:

Is there any way to configure TMG or Visual Studio to connect to CRM server through TMG?

    Thank you for your answers.

    Best regards,

    Marin

  • Hi,

Check your service endpoints in CRM under Settings/Customization/Developer resources. It has to match the URL you provide in Visual Studio. If it does not match, you have to alter your discovery service URL in deployment manager to point to the right URL.

  • Thank you for your answer.

URLs that you mentioned are OK. They match.

Is it possible that TMG is not configured correctly?
First of all, is it possible to Connect to CRM 2011 from Visual Studio through TMG?

  • Hi, I don't usually like to post another link to another conversation but I recently researched a similar issue.  My problem was attempting to convert a psuedo IFD to an actual IFD behind TMG.  I had the IFD in place but there was a redirect
