MS CRM 4.0 new setup - Reports are not working RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

Recently I've created a new MS CRM 4.0 environment. Installed AD / SQL Server 2005 / Report Server -> from SBS CD. I directly Installed latest rolup 12 without installing prior rollups.

Now, We are not able to create a new Report from Wizard NOR Upload the custom Report which was developed using VS 2005. I try to dig it in SQL Server Report Logs too. But didnt get much information.

Any help would be much appreciated.

  • Hi,

This might be related to your network / DNS.

Try disabling the Network adapter, and see if your OOB reports are working. IF it is, try importing your custom reports.

    Hope it helps.

  • Did you also install the SQL Server Reporting Services MS CRM connector?

This needs to also be installed (Update rollups also)

Also, you would need to install UR 7 then 12 (7 was a major one)

  • are you able to run the existing reports available in CRM?

if so then your custom reports should run.

so you have to install the sqlserver connector in the corresponding sql box and try.

  • Hi,

Did you tried uninstalling the rollup 12 to see if reports work? Also u need to install rollup 7 and then rollup 12. And once u install rollup 7 again check that reports are working.

  • Thanks, Ranjit.

This seems to be the trick. I disable the network adapter, and reports are workiing fine. I contact my Administrator and he said he will look into it.

If Internet is working on VM, MS CRM Reports are not working and if internet is not working then Reports are working.

I'll post the outcome of my Admin analysis.

    Thanks, so much.
