  The pre and post images allow you to retrieve all of the specified attribute data within your plugin. The benefit of this is that the Inputparameters only contains attrubute data for the fields that were entered and saved.

  The post image will contain attribute data that exists after the core CRM process so it will not be populated for a pre stage event.

  What are you trying to achieve?

  i am trying to access post image of an entity in its pre updates state.... i am getting key not found error...

  How can you access Post image in pre,You can't access Post Image in pre stage, Please go through above link for more information in images
