WHS freezes whilst loading RRS feed

    Hi,

    My WHS v1 keeps freezing on startup at the point where Windows Home Server logo is shown and the bar going across the screen. I've just re-installed the SYS volume due to the backup service and PC connector not working but have no idea how this has been caused as it used to boot fine previously.

    I can get WHS to boot in safe mode but not sure what I need to be checking to diagnose the problem. Anyone any ideas?

    Are you sure reinstall is completely finished? Especially the last part of the procedure where WHS rebuilds all the tombstones (pointers in the WHS shares to the locations of the actual files) can take a long time. Please read the FAQ post How to recover data after server failure for some more details on the reinstall process and how to recover your data if the process fails.
