Forums Bug: Clicking on the Forums tab in the toolbar does not behave consistently

Question
-
I would expect the clicking on the Forum tab in the toolbar at the top would take one to the same place as the Forums Home link on the right side of the screen; however, the Forum link at the top behaves in an unpredictable way and takes me to a different place depending on where I am in the site that is not expected or relevant. For example, if I click on it from the TFS forum in the screen shot below it takes me to the Windows 8 Metro page.

Hi Ryan !
This definitely seems to be a problem with redirection link. This is happening with most of the Forums but when i tried with SQL Server [Transact-SQL] forum it redirects me to SQL Server Home Page which is correct.
One thing to understand here is "Forum Home" will take you to Home page outer most level of Forum where you can see every forum category with respective forums while "Forum" link on that page will take you to Home page for that particular category you are in and you will be able to see other categories of that Forum.
Hopefully i have answered you correctly.
Thanks, Hasham Niaz

The bug is active with priority 1 and assigned to the July iteration but I am not sure we will have bandwidth to fix it this month. Anyway the bug number is 71756 to make it easier for me to find it and give updates J
