I recently purchase a new laptop computer with Windows 7 Operating System (with the latest updates), and have attempted downloads of Windows Virtual PC and XP Mode (Microsoft programs required for operation of legacy application software on the Windows 7).
The download process from the Microsoft sites (after initialization) first displays a dialogue box advising "Windows validation required," which I check on, but the system then takes tme to a blank Web page that says "Internet Explorer cannot display Web page," and validation and the downloads do not run. This has occurred at two Microsoft sites where I have attempted the downloads AND when I directly try and launch " Microsoft Genuine Advantage Diagnostics Tool. "
What is causing Microsoft Genuine Advantage not to run, and how can I correct the situation, and ultimately, download the required files?
