  • Question

  • Dear Sir or Madam,

I've taken a Microsoft exam two years ago and would like to download a transcript. I never received an MC ID or an access code, but I did receive a confidential annual notification to be active at least once per year. This e-mail contained my MC ID. Since I do not have an access code yet, I filled in the form at https://mcp.microsoft.com/Authenticate/ResetAccessCode/ResetAccessCode.aspx using my work e-mail (the same as which the exam was registered to via Prometric)

Then, I received a temporary access code. However, in order to login, I also need a Microsoft account. So, I created that first, mentioning the previous e-mail adress. I assume everything went well, because I can login at login.live.com using my work e-mail. Now, visiting the MCP site: https://mcp.microsoft.com/Authenticate/Migrate/Migrate.aspx?ReturnUrl=https://mcp.microsoft.com/mcp/? and entering the MC ID and Temporary Access Code doesn't work:

The page appears to load for a while, but after some time it just stops, leaving me where I was before pressing 'Next'. I've tried IE (10.0.11) and Firefox (25.0.1), also after clearing caches. I've come across a similar thread on this site, but none of the mentioned solutions works for me:

  • I've just tried logging in again (using the same credentials) and it suddenly works. My apologies for the inconvenience. Maybe the server was busy or someone fixed something for me without mentioning it. Anyway thanks for your attention.

  • Hi.

I think you need to contact Microsoft to get this fixed. Keep your printed exam results if you still have them! It has important information that might be needed to fix this.

Otherwise, you may need your Prometric ID. Hopefully, you can log into the Prometric site and see your exam results, including your passed exam.

You will need to contact your Microsoft Regional Service Center. Please use the following web page to find the contact information for help.
    http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en-us/help.aspx.

The page includes email and phone contact information for your geographic location so you can email or call them directly. They will help you get this figured out.

NOTE: This public forum is usually monitored by fellow certified IT folks and trainers.

    Good luck!

    Best wishes, Davin Mickelson
