Hello,
Figured this out - our sales people needed read access to Attribute Map, Customizations, Entity and Entity Map on the Customizations tab in the security role in order to successfully qualify a lead.

Hello,
We have all of those enabled on a user level (with the exception of lead-read - that is on a business unit level for duplicate detection purposes) and our users are getting a notification that they do not have the sufficient permission to qualify the leads. Are there any other permissions that may be blocking this?

Hi,
You must need to grant Lead edit prvileges or else system would be unable to change Lead status and also make sure that there is not plugin running on Lead Qualification or Edit event. Try also enable tracing and also make sure that in Lead -> Contact, Opporunity, Account there is no any other entity lookup lookup defined.

Hi Jim,
Thanks for your reply. The permissions for all four entities (lead, contact, account and opportunity) set to the user level for create, read, write, delete, apend, apend to, assign and share. Can you tell me where to look for a plug in running on the lead qualification or edit event? Also, where do I enable tracing?
I should mention that those users set with administrator or manager permissions have no trouble qualifying leads. It's just the salesperson role which was customized. I'm just not sure what was changed that took away the ability.
