Questions about the RF RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi all,

I want to ask some questions about the RF on the Sora.

firstly,in dut.exe, there are two parameters, rxpa and rxgain. What is the difference between this two parameters?

secondly, the USRP daughter board's tx power is 100mW.Is that harmful to our health?I want to ask if MSRA has some measure to solve this problem?Such as set down the power.

  • rxpa and rxgain are two parameters to control different part of circuits in RF. But they both contribute to the overall receiving gain. Roughly you can assume

Gain = rxpa + rxgain (in dB).

To your second question, we don't have any answer :c) and yet not a solution (if there needs one).

At any rate, you can set down the power by adjusting the txgain.
