Client pc backups failing because it was shut down during backup RRS feed

  • Question

  • I have 2 client pcs both windows 7 64bit and they have been backing up perfectly recently until today when 1 was being backed up and at the same time it decided to go to sleep which froze the backup
the "lights out" add in told the pc to go to sleep in the middle of the backup
in the end i had to restart my WHS and Client pc because the backup was stuck at 21% and would not stop OR resume
i have tried to manual backup a few times with no success. it seems to fail about 20ish %
i now get a fail message every time i try and backup this pc saying
1 "the hard disk failed to start & the hard disk failed to complete"
2 "can not read information on the disk. Run CHKDSK>EXE to resolve the problems"

i have run chkdsk 5 times and no errors have been found

i found a link saying this ( on the microsoft technet site.)
which has this part way down the page "Make sure that the computer was not shut down or disconnected from the network while backup was running." but it did not say how to resolve it

does anyone know how to resolve this ?
