Best way to install Visual Studio 2015 RRS feed

  • Question

  • SO I have a Windows 10 Laptop that has VS2015RC installed on it. Want to upgrade to the RTM version of VS 2015. SO guessing that the VS2015RC version needs to be uninstalled prior to installing the VS2015RTM version.  What is the best way to uninstall VS2015RC?  Have a lot of extensions installed with it as well like .Net stuff and not sure what is needed for WIndows 10.  Is it enough to just install the VS2015RC module only??

    Please advise!

    Thanks,

  • .NET framework and other extensions of your product (associate with your account) are already saved for you when ever you install it and on which ever device you install it on. I would recommend that you install it from beginning (after uninstalling) so that Visual Studio can manage everything for your machine.

.NET framework, Microsoft Foundation Classes for C++ and other extensions that you are using would be installed also (account sign in might be required, or may not be depending on the products).

Yes, it would be enough also to just install Visual Studio RTC.
