XP Error - help needed RRS feed

    When I try to start up my computer, I get an error message that says

    "A problem has been detected and windows has been shut down to prevent damage to your computer"

     

    UNMOUNTABLE_BOOT_VOLUME

     

    Can anyone help me with the next steps to take?

    Is there a way I can start up my computer?  Safe mode is not working

    The problems related to mounting occurs mainly when you install operating systems of different platforms(like windows and Linux) and if its the same problem with you(or maybe other) then you must format all the drives from the cd or format the partitions by connecting your drive to another computer as a secondary one...
