MCTS certification - .net 3.5 RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi guys,

I have never appeared for a microsoft exam before so I am not familiar with the process. I want to take the .net Framework 3.5 ASP.NET Applications developer exam(exam 70-562).

On the microsoft website, it is mentioned that exam 70-536 is a pre-requisite for that.

They have also mentioned that 70-536 coupled with exam 70-528 leads to MCTS .net 2.0 Web Apps.

So I understand that for 70-562, I definitely need to take exam 70-536 first. But what is the procedure for that. I mean, can i give 70-536 exam followed by 70-562 without giving 70-528 in between?

    Please let me know ASAP...

Yes exams 70-536/528 give you MCTS Web application which is for VS2005 so you need to pass exams 70-536/562 to get MCTS Asp.net which is for VS2008.

And no you don't have to take exam 70-528 to get MCTS Asp.net in .NET 3.5, it is just that there are so many features introduced in Asp.net 2.0 that it will help you to start with 2.0.
