Regarding Dust In the HP Mediasmart RRS feed

    Has anyone opened the HP to see how much gets in?  I am wondering if I need to do that soon so it doesn't get to hot.

    Will depend primarily on the amount of dust present in the MSS environment. I think most of the dust will be visible if you open the front door. Mine is virtually dust free after running for more then half a year. Also temperature sensor can be monitored in WHS console.

        I have the Mediasmart also and although you cannot see it, you probably want to run a finger along the front metal screen on the frontside and the bottom backside of the server. The part that has the metal mesh. When you do, there is an amazing amount of dust that comes off on your finger and looking at it, you cannot even tell that it is there. I routinely do this about once a month or so or whenever I happen to think about it.
