SiteMap modification with Solutions

  Hello Community,

  Quick question. I know you can include your sitemap into a solution and import through that mechanism your sitemap definition into a new system. However, my understanding is that this import will *overwrite* the existing sitemap, right? Is there any way that I can modify/extend, rather than overwrite the existing sitemap?

  The scenario I am looking a solution that we have developed as a ISV vendor. There are a number of entities that I would like to group in a sitemap section dedicated to my solution. However, I don't want to overwrite the sitemaps of my customers, since they have existing modifications to their sitemaps. Is there a less bully way to import sitemaps?
