lost my WHS Password.... RRS feed

    I forgot my password to a whs (an acer h340), after the host computer's Hard drive died... I got the drive replaced and upgraded from vista 86x to win7 64x. The suggestion doesnt seem to be helpful although I feel I got the pw and and just wont take it.

    So.... Is there anyway of recovering the data/ getting the pw? acer wants to charge like $3 a min to help even if its 3mos old, under warranty F*** acer

    also would accessing the hd like an external drive work- bypassing whs (like booting into linux ur smthing)?

    There is no way to get the password.  You'll have to do a Server Recovery (or whatever Acer calls their Server Reinstallation mode), which formats the OS partition, but leaves the data in tact.
