Restoring after reformating RRS feed

    I recently reformated my hard drive (destructive format) because every other possibility fell short of constant error messages on my screen.

     

    I used Live OneCare to back up all of the files that I wanted saved before the format process. I have reloaded OneCare onto my computer and everything is like brand new.

     

    However, when I try to restore all of the files on my CD to my computer, I get the following message:

    • "OneCare cannot find a current or previous backup for this computer. You might have changed hard drives or computers or backup device since your last backup, or the files you want to restore are from another computer.
    • "To continue, connect the device or insert the disc that contains the backup you want to restore, and then click Next."

    What do I do? I would appreciate any help on this matter.

    Hello Matt, perform a One Care backup on the newly formatted computer, then open One Care, select "Restore Files", choose custom restore and select "restore files from another computer". One Care should then allow you to restore your previously backed up files.
