Thread reply, Submit freeze

Question
-
I usually reply to threads from a threads-list-view where I just expand-carat the thread and reply, after typing in reply click Submit then the Submit / Cancel buttons freeze unrecoverably but at least it does leave in a state where the reply text can be copied to clipboard and then I usually just open thread in single-thread view, paste and complete reply. This now happens about one in three replies and appears to be new issue for me since 4/1/2014 update.

Does this happen on those threads that have too many replies? Or this might happen on every thread?

I'm going to try replying from the thread list view to see if this happens for me, I almost always post from the individual threads.
Alexis - did you just post from the bridge? If so, it looks like the web interface isn't picking up on that (no last reply info, but the title did get italicized properly):

I think it could happen on any thread. Mostly it is posts with zero replies but not necessarily. Happens about one in three and you know it immediately since the spinner never shows when click the Submit.

Yes, I replied via NNTP Bridge. I know this problem. Someone has placed feedback but no helpful response.

When I use the Web interface, the more replies a thread has, the more likely to encounter an unexpected problem, such as the one you described.

While the forums performance seems much better the last couple of days this issue remains. Three more tonight.

Ed, no it isn't; it is from forums interface. Still happens about one in three replies for me.

Pan for me the spinning never even starts. Appears dead locked so I end up replying in single thread view.

Using the Bridge is a best solution to get rid of this issue.
The Bridge and news reader never freeze no matter how long a thread is.

In fact it happened just now on this reply.
Try getting a trace to see what is happening. E.g. in IE use the Developer Tools, Network capture (in IE11, F12, Ctrl-4, F5).
Right now overall network performance is terrible, so I don't know what will happen when I post this but I will try using my own suggestion with it anyway.
