    I got a requirement to insert, update and delete a record in MS CRM 4.0 using JAVA application as front end, can anyone help me on this.

  • If you are talking about javascript, then I think you may check the SDK document for CRM 4, it has the sample code for your reference.

    CRM 4.0 exposes some web services which you can use in your Java application once you obtain the .wsdl files. I have never come across any CRM 4.0 integration with Java; but I have seen it done between CRM 2011 and Java and the concerned person said it was easier in CRM 4.0. But either way, web services are meant to be technology independent and hence would be pretty much possible with CRM 4.0 as well.

  • You can call the CRM Web Services, which are SOAP-based. The main complexity could be the authentication; if CRM is configured to use Active Directory authentication, then this will no different from any other web application that uses Active Directory authentication. However, if CRM 4 is configured for IFD, then this could be harder, as the implementation was specific to CRM
