CRM 2011/Internet Explorer memory usage issue RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi All,

Sorry for creating another post relating to this, but after searching on the internet/through these forums and trying all methods recommended (the only one I cannot do is update to rollup 10)

We're on rollup 7 at the moment, and on client machines Internet Explorer eventually runs out of memory, viewing it in task manager shows memory gradually increasing until it hits 1.5GB then crashes, this memory usage is increasing by just navigating through CRM, each page loading more into RAM.

This is happening in IE 8 and IE 9, running on both XP and 7.

The funny thing is I ran CRM in Firefox using IE Tab pro plugin and the memory usage is absolutely fine in that (doesnt go above 200MB for us when doing the same as in IE), this makes me believe it is a client side IE issue perhaps but havnt been able to solve it through methods mentioned online. Would there be anything you could recommend that may remedy this (eventually rollup 10 will be applied)

    Thanks

  • Hi,

Unfortunately I think you've already guessed the answer - install the latest rollup - the issue is with the CRM2011 javascript and other than asking the user's to periodically close IE completely, there isn't anything more you can do.
