Error verifying certsrv certificate RRS feed

  • Question

    Hello all,

I set up a OCS 2007 Server and I am able to login via web access.

Now I am trying to use office communicator and I get an error (in German): "Beim Überprüfen des Zertifikates auf dem Server ist ein Problem aufgetreten. Wenden Sie sich an den Systemadministrator."
This means: "During verifying the certificate on the server an error occured. Please contact your system administrator."

We have a Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise Server as DC running and on that server I virtuallized an Windows Server 2003 R2 Enterprise installation for OCS 2007.

On our DC there is also certsrv running. With that certsrv I created the certificates for OCS 2007.

On the client I installed the root certificate of the certsrv.

Is there something else I have to do?

Thanks for any help in advance :-)

    ok I got it finally.

I had to create a new certificate for the pool name, but I had to put the fqdn into the second originator field.

  • What is your SIP URI domain

Do you have a standard or enterprise pool

What is the FQDN of your pool

What is FQDN of your server

What names are in your certificate (common name and subject alternative names

  • Hello,

my SIP-URI Domain ist hll-is.local (this is also the domain our users log into)

    We have an enterprise pool

    The FQDN is: hrsuitepool.hll-is.local
The FQDN of the server is: comm.hll-is.local
The names in our Certificate (the Certificate the communication server is using): hrsuitepool.hll-is.local

There are no other names listed in the certificate

  • I have configured the local FQDN as a SAN on the certificate and that works

Create a new certificate and add the FQDN of the local server to the SAN list
