SOA Service Configurations Report - Error RRS feed

  • Question

  •  I just set up the WCF Broker Node on my cluster and on the SOA Service Configurations Report, I get the following
    error on each CN:

    From the report:

An error occurred while processing the request on the server: : User identity is not authorized to connect to this endpoint at System.Runtime.Remoting.Channels.Tcp.TcpServerChannel.AcceptSocketCallback(IAsyncResult ar)

    From events:

    Broker Job:27
Service net.tcp://private.avha8d80:9088/26/64/_defaultEndpoint failed. Error:No DNS entries exist for host private.avha8d80.

I haven't yet installed any services, the only one in the registration folder is the default CcpEchoSvc that registers EchoSvcLib.dll.  Any clues?

    Thanks.

  • I suspect that the users group on your headnode no longer has the NT AUTHORITY\AUTHENTICATED USERS group which is a default member on initial install of the OS. This may have been removed by group policy. The result is that when the diagnostic runs on the compute node can no longer contact the scheduler on the head node to determine the search path for SOA services.

If this is the problem you can fix it by either adding the compute nodes explicitly to the users group (you will need to add the machine account) or you can add back Authenticated Users.

  • No ideas?  This is pretty basic functionality here, just trying to run some out-of-the-box diagnostic reports.  Is anyone using the WCF Broker out there yet?  (crickets)

  • That was it Geoff.  I added AUTHENTICATED USERS back to the Users group on the HN and it's working now.

    Thanks!

  • Hi Geoff,

we are experiencing a similar problem here, but our USERS group still has NT AUTHORITY\AUTHENTICATED USERS as a member. We also added all compute nodes to the users group (just to be sure) but that didn't help either. This error occurs when executing a Service that is hosted on our HPC cluster through a .NET client application. See the log below:
