  • The C521 case only supports 1 Hard Disk. I wouldn't considure using any computer that couldn't support 4 internal drives.

Actually there is nothing in this model that makes particularly good for WHS.

  • Seems to come preloaded with too much junk software that won't be used once WHS is installed on it, including vista. Unless you have another computer you plan on using those lisences for there is no point in paying for all that. Like the previous poster mentioned, 1 hard drive bay? i'm feeling the strain for room and mine has 6.

  • What's the point of having hi-definition audio in a server that can't use it?

Only just enough memory - the more the better.

One 160GB hard disk - not enough to be worth bothering about if you have any amount to back-up.

A Vista licence that most people can't use.

    Other than that, not bad!

  • Pre-Loaded junk:

You'll be installing Windows Home Server, the junk wont be there??

    No internal drives:

It has 6 USB 2.0 ports + 1x PCI and 1x PCI-E for further expansion.

Do you think any of those cool looking prototype home servers from MS have any room for internal drives? No, they use flash and USB memory

    Just enough RAM:

It has 4x DDR2 slots. picked up 1GB for £40

On top of that, it's small, light, fast dosnt use much power and is 64-Bit!
