How to recover my data? Dashboard keeps saying drive is missing! RRS feed

    I am running Vail. I recently returned home after being away for a month, and realized my server getting a BSOD after two hours. I quickly discovered that Vail had expired. While this is not a problem, the problem I am now having is that dashboard is reporting one harddisk as missing, however it is not missing! In fact, it reports the exact hard drive as being a new drive. This is obviously not correct.

    I have found more people with this same issue and they have apparently filed bugs. All I want is to recover my data so that I can uninstall Vail completely.

    I read some tips suggesting a reinstall of Vail. So I did that, but the exact same situation is still present. It is still reporting the drive as missing, albeit in a Non-default server storage pool.

    Please, can someone tell me how to get my precious data back. And yes... I learned my lesson never to trust beta software to my data again.
