Hi,
You don't need to upgrade, you can take the exam as a 2.0 or 3.5 developer and not need to worry about learning the other. The exam still counts towards whichever qualification you are working towards.
As for the materials:
Classroom Training Microsoft E-Learning Microsoft Press Books
Edit: Again, while these materials are for 2.0, you can still pass this exam and use it towards a 3.5 certification. There will be seperate learning materials for these. This is just the foundation course

Please dont mention braindumps as a valid

Hi A-K,
Please do not use the brain dumps - learning the answers to the questions is not a substitute for learning how to use a technology and the theory behind it doing what it does. If you learn via brain dumps, you could well run up short in the real world and get found out.
The best way to guarantee you pass first time is to work through the MS Press book, doing all the practices as you go in a virtual lab and then doing the test questions on the CD that comes with the book. Once i've attained a passing grade on this test, I have not yet failed to pass an exam at the first time of asking
