MPI Diagnostics failing due to mpiexec error RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi everyone,

I installed HPC Pack 2012 on a head node with Windows Server 2012 Datacenter, which is also the same OS for the compute node.

Everything so far was running ok, however in the past days jobs started to fail before actually running with the message:

Aborting: Access denied by node 'xxxx'.
This node is a resource managed by the Microsoft HPC Scheduler and mpiexec was attempting to use it without a scheduled job.

Even If I run MPI diagnostic tests, they also fail with the same message in the RUNSTEP job. Note that 'xxxx' can be any of the compute nodes or the head node name. Since the job didn't run, the RUNSTEP.OUT file is empty.

Does anyone have an idea what is happening?

    Thanks in advance.
