A problem that really bug me RRS feed

  • Question

    • 2 weeks ago my HomeServer was setup like this
      1 Intel Board
1 320 gb as system files
      2 x 640 as data disk

      I change for this
      1 GigaByte board
      1 250 gb system files
      2 x 640 as data disk

I reinstall the OS on the new 250 drive with the option repair , since the data was already in the 640s , the Server management always report it as 250

But here the situation, today the server report me a 320 unhealthy drive. An with exactly the same model as the one before. And the 250 vanish from the server consol ( I have not check the Diskmanagement under admin tools yet, but for sure it must be a 250 ) , The server work fine . Now I’m at work, but I will have a look at it tonight , it’s look that a certain hardware configuration is save in the data disk, the problem is where and why .

  • If you find that the installed system drive is indeed a 250 GB drive, and there is no 320 GB drive connected to the server, then I would recommend submitting a bug report on Connect, with logs from your server collected with the Windows Home Server Toolkit (read the user manual for installation and usage instructions).
I'm not on the WHS team, I just post a lot. :)
