addin does not appear in as 'available' in the "Available Add-ins" section of WHS console RRS feed

    I have d/l'd an *.exe file, placed it in \\server name\software\add-ins folder.

    then went to WHS console, selected 'add-ins' then 'available'  the file does not appear.  WHY??

    yes, I restarted the server, but it does not appear.

    I suspect the reason is that the file must be an *.msi file type.

    Because it's not an add-in (no exe file is a WHS add-in).
