Please read the above sticky, the key you purchased, possibly from ebay or some other site that facilitates 3rd party sales is a blocked MSDN key that is not intended for resale, if the key has been working for 5 months then I must assume that it is too late to seek recourse through the site you purchased it through.

go to www.microsoft.com/genuine, run the validation which will fail, follow the links provided to resolve the issue and see if they have a discounted price to help you get a legitimate copy. My understanding is that there is a pretty good discount for those who have been sold pirated copies.

  • I bought my Windows 7 upgrade in person at Best Buy. I still have the receipt and product key and I get this stupid message also. But I was afraid to click on anything thinking it may be a virus.

  • Please start a thread of your own, download and run the MGAdiag utility and click the copy button within the application, paste the results in your new thread.
