What exams do I need for Windows 8/Windows 7 certification equilavent to Win XP 70-270 MCP? RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

In 2009 I went through the 70-270: Installing, Configuring, and Administering Microsoft Windows XP Professional exam, I am now interested in "upgrade" myself with a similar certification for Windows 8 and/or Windows 7, what are the exam/exams numbers I need to go through for each?

    Thank you.

  • Hi,

I suggest you to take MCSA: Windows 8 Certificate, the requirement for MCSA is 2 exams:

    MCSA: Windows 8

    70-687http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-687

    70-688 http://www.microsoft.com/learning/en/us/exam.aspx?ID=70-688

The Windows 8 Certification is better than Windows 7 because Windows 7 exams will retire in 31 Jul,2013

  • Thank you, just one question, is that the most basic Windows 8 certification? there's nothing simpler that require only one exam & less time consuming?

  • You're welcome, unfortunately Windows 8 Certification doesn't have one Exam to get Certified.

Learn it and you will be Certified MCSA: Windows 8  :)
