To install the Windows Home Server Connector Software:
In internet explorer window type http://yourservername:55000 address bar, then follow instructions (replace "yourservername" with the name of your server).- Proposed as answer by kariya21Moderator Friday, December 19, 2008 5:23 AM

So how is your virtual network adapter on that machine configured? Does it have connection to the Internet? Are PCs able to ping the IP address and the name of that WHS, given the network drivers are installed?
Did you change any settings in the Windows Firewall or install any 3rd party products on the WHS?
Is there any 3rd party security suite running on the client?
Did you remove or relocate any folders from folder Home Server Connector Software on the software share of the server?
Can you access the software share from the PC via Start/Run \\server\software ? (replace server with the correct name of the server, if necessary)
Btw. did you already run Windows Update on that WHS, so that Power Pack 1 got installed? Otherwise you will not find a 64 bit client anyway.

via Website you should not need to logon, via share you can try account name server\administrator and the WHS console password.

since edits seem not to work currently:
Make sure also, that you have completed Windows Update on the WHS to get Power Pack 1 and subsequent patches installed. Without Power Pack 1 you will not find a Connector software for Windows Vista 64 Bit clients.

silly got it all working, and the problem was internet explorer settings reporting the WHS pages as insecure and blocked them without notifying me, and IE is the only explorer that supports WHS, got to software on the share and installed connector software, if i read right that's suppoesed to be thanks to power pack 1.1I am good for now :)
