Error Synching Contacts with Outlook in CRM 2011 RRS feed

  • I experienced a strange problem with the synchronization of CRM contacts to Outlook that I want to share with the community.

    After I customized my CRM Outlook filters for contacts and synchronized with CRM, a lot of my Outlook contacts lost the CRM icon that indicates they are tracked in CRM, and reverted back to the normal Outlook icon. Also I´m not able to open the contact in CRM by click on "View in CRM", because the button is deactivated. Only the synchronization from CRM to Outlook is still working without any problems. I deactivated and re-activated the Outlook filter and even reconfigured my Outlook client but each time I got the same result.

    Hope I get some helpfull information.

  • I think I have fixed the problem refering to a blog from "community . dynamics . com" named "CRM 2011 for Outlook Sync Errors" (Currently I´m not able to add hyperlinks in this message)

  • Hi Ben,

    What about the other buttons inside the CRM tool bar? Are they working? You may want to try re configuring the Outlook addin. Start > All Programs > Microsoft Dynamics CRM  2011 > Configuration Wizard
