How to disable hyperlink in Contact form RRS feed

  • Question

  • Hi,

I'm new to Microsoft CRM. Currently I'm working on a CRM project and the client wants to disable a hyperlink on Contact form. I thought it was easy but not, if it's asp.net it would be easy. Basically on Contact form there is a field to display the Account that this contact belongs to, the problem is that this field is displayed as a hyperlink, which means clicking on this field will open Account form, but client doesn't want this hyperlink to work. I tried disable this field, but the hyperlink still works. Anyone can help me for this issue? Thanks in advance for any help!

  • I think if you view the source of the account form you may be able to locate the event that is fired when you click on the hyperlink. The idea would be change the href or onclick attribute during the onload and/or onchange events. You will need to locate the id of the link tag or its parent element and then just change the required attribute as mentioned above.
